2002 - Present

Andover, MA

Field Technician
Telecommunications Specialist responsible for installation, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of various Digital PBX and Network based phone systems.

• Managed Projects from conception to completion including cabling, termination, installation and programming of hardware and software components.

• Installed both internal wiring and campus-to-campus feeds for businesses requiring the use of existing infrastructure or for new construction, including Category 5e, Cat6, 100 pair, 50 pr, fiber optic, coax, and various audio and visual media cables.

• Programmed various phone systems and routers for T1, ISDN, VoIP LAN/WAN configurations per carrier and customer requirements, including hardware and software by 3com NBX, Esi-Estech, Panasonic, NEC, Linksys, Cisco, and Adtran.

• Consulted Customers regarding equipment capabilities and requirements.

• Provided training for both end users and administrators on new systems with the ability to explain the benefits and functions of each system in both a technical and non-technical manner.

• Promoted to this position with major responsibilities in all areas of Quality Assurance that included inspection of raw materials and finished goods, in-process inspection, tool calibration and electrical testing.

• Responsible for documentation and tracking of goods within the manufacturing organization to maintain quality standards from raw material to finished goods.
